The Black Hawk County Health Department issued a press release on July 29, 2021,encouraging vaccination and indoor mask use in response to rising positivity rates in the county and nation. “COVID-19 is not going anywhere without increased vaccination in our community,” said Dr. Nafissa Cisse Egbuonye. The press release also noted that Black Hawk County is currently experiencing high COVID-19 transmission.
