Contact: Black Hawk County Health Department
Black Hawk County Public Health, MercyOne, Peoples Community Health Clinic and UnityPoint Health, along with local pharmacies are joining efforts to vaccinate the community against COVID-19.
Vaccine appointments, including walk-in clinics, are widely available for Iowans age 16+. As of 04/26/2021, 52.8% of adults 18 and older in Black Hawk County have received at least one vaccine. Residents who were previously waiting for their turn to be vaccinated, are now encouraged to take advantage of vaccine availability.
To find local vaccine options, residents can go to the Black Hawk County Public Health website for a comprehensive list of local phone numbers and online scheduling links. The Vaccinate Iowa website is another resource for scheduling links and phone numbers.
Throughout the pandemic local healthcare providers have worked collaboratively to slow the spread of COVID-19. We continue to do so by issuing this joint request that people in our communities and businesses take the opportunity to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, and encourage your friends and family to do so as well. The health of our community depends on us all.
