The purpose of this newsbrief is to provide information regarding the current status of COVID-19 vaccine for Black Hawk County.
Vaccine in Black Hawk County
Black Hawk County Health Department (BHCHD) was allocated 200 prime doses of Moderna and 2,340 prime Pfizer doses this week. These doses were allocated to MercyOne,Peoples Community Health Clinic, and UnityPoint Health to vaccinate all eligible Iowans. (Pfizer is available for ages 16+; Moderna/Johnson and Johnson for ages 18+.) BHCHD also received 1170 doses of Pfizer and 500 of Johnson and Johnson designated for the higher education community.
Vaccines are also allocated through the Federal Retail Pharmacy Partnership to most local pharmacies. Please visit Vaccinate Iowa or contact your local pharmacy for updated information.
