Black Hawk County Public Health Expands Clinic Hours to Increase Access to Care

Black Hawk County Public Health is proud to announce an expansion of clinic hours to better serve residents of Black Hawk County and surrounding areas. In a continued effort to provide equitable and accessible healthcare services, the Public Health Center will now accept scheduled appointments and walk-ins Monday through Friday from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Since its founding, the Black Hawk County Public Health clinic has been committed to delivering essential health services, ensuring that individuals and families receive the care they need. This expansion reflects our ongoing mission to remove barriers to healthcare access and meet the evolving needs of our community.

Services available at the Public Health Center include:

• HIV and sexually transmitted infection screening, counseling, and treatment

• PrEP and Hepatitis C referrals to care

• Adult vaccines at no cost (eligibility requirements apply)

• Well-child exams (eligibility requirements apply)

• Childhood vaccines at no cost (eligibility requirements apply)

• Sports physicals for $20.00
