02032021_Press Release_Vaccines Available at Select Black Hawk County Walgreens and CVS Locations for Individuals Age 65 and Older

The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH), in partnership with Walgreens and CVS, announce the availability of a one-time, additional allocation of COVID-19 vaccine. Unused vaccines, which were originally allocated to the Long-Term Care Pharmacy Partnership Program, have been redistributed to Black Hawk County. This allocation of vaccine will be available to individuals 65 and older in select Walgreens and CVS pharmacies. Please note that no COVID-19 registration code is required to sign up in the State of Iowa.

Walgreens

Beginning February 3rd, individuals 65 and older can sign up to schedule an appointment at Walgreens in Black Hawk County. Register online here.

CVS

Beginning February 4th, at 8:00 a.m., individuals 65 and older can sign up to schedule an appointment as a CVS store in Black Hawk County. Register online here.

The Black Hawk County Health Department will not coordinate these appointments, nor supply the vaccine. Please direct all questions regarding this allocation to your local Walgreens or CVS pharmacies.
